Mask Mandate Update

This is Superintendent Mitch Webster and as we return to school from our Thanksgiving break I want to inform you where we are with our mask policy.  It was my sincere hope to return to school this week with the mask mandate lifted.  In order for that to happen, we needed the Covid map for Grant County to go green or yellow for five consecutive days.  Unfortunately, that did not happen and I share in everybody's frustration.  Wearing masks to school while the cases remain high is the only thing that is allowing us to keep our schools open and avoid massive quarantines.  As of now we will continue to wear masks in all schools during the school day.  Masks will remain optional for all events after school.  We will keep the mask mandate in place through the Christmas break.  Again, using the same criteria over Christmas break if Grant County can turn the map green or yellow for five consecutive days, we will return to school without masks.  Nobody wants this to happen more than me.  in the meantime, I thank you for your patience and cooperation as we get through this.
