Last week students in grades three through six, during music classes, demonstrated the "caring" character trait by creating thinking of you and Easter cards for troops stationed in Poland and Japan. Mr. and Mrs. Lomasney's son, Thomas, and family are stationed in Japan, and his friend, Andrew, is stationed in Poland. Thomas and his friend Andrew along with another soldier from Fort Bragg came to Petersburg Elementary in 2019 and discussed the Army with some of Mrs. Lomasney's students and did some exercises with the classes. The cards will be given to several soldiers currently serving overseas.
