5th grade students had the opportunity to have class in the stream this week! Friends from Experience Learning came from Spruce Knob to do different activities in and out of the classroom involving freshwater ecosystems.

5th Grade students were able to play in the dirt during science class. Friends from the Cacapon Institute and Experience Learning came to help the students to prepare the trees in the grow-out station for winter.

School starts on Friday August 15, 2025, for grades 1-12

Updates for this week: Pumpkins for the Pumpkin Contest may be dropped off on Tuesday, Oct. 29th from 7:30 to 8:30 am in the cafeteria. Class pictures and picture retakes are cancelled for Wednesday and will be rescheduled. Red Ribbon Week will continue tomorrow with Character Day.

This year we will be using the West Virginia Education Information System instead of Live Grades. This program will not only allow you to view your student's grades but also their attendance and discipline data. This is Mr. Hedrick, PES principal, with a reminder to say you are invited to join us tomorrow evening from 5:00 - 6:30 for a Back To School Picnic. We will have a bouncy house, ice cream, hot dogs, and live entertainment. Teachers will be available at tables or selected areas outside for you to meet as well. See you there.
